I write under the name Vulpes Vale — the fox in the vale, returning to the same terrain from different angles.
These pages hold essays, poems, and prose that resist easy category. Some pieces are philosophical; others are simply an attempt to look at ordinary things long enough that they become strange again. I’m drawn to edges: where thought becomes feeling, where the personal turns structural, where a small moment carries more weight than it should.
I am bilingual in Chinese and English. I live in Australia, and write because some things don’t settle until they’re put into words — and sometimes not even then.
This is thinking and making, in progress.
